Surreal Salon 10

Ron English, juror for the upcoming international juried exhibition Surreal Salon 10, has chosen my painting "The Squeeze" to be included at the Baton Rouge Gallery Center for Contemporary Art from January 3 - 31, 2018.  I am beyond thrilled to be selected to participate!

"The Surreal Salon, an annual exhibition, celebrates the growing quality, popularity, and diversity of the pop-surrealist/lowbrow movement...  This year's exhibition features more than 60 works, each hand-selected by Special Guest Juror, Ron English.  The result of more than 600 submissions fielded by the gallery from across the globe, this collection of works includes artists from five different countries and 19 U.S. states, giving audiences a unique multi-sensory experience with one-of-a-kind contemporary art.

Ron English is one of the most prolific and recognizable artists alive today... New York-based painter, designer and street artist Ron English has bombed the global landscape with unforgettable images, on the street, in museums, in movies, books, television, and music.  English coined the term ‘Popaganda’ to describe his signature mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, from superhero mythology to totems of art history, creating a visual language that turns advertising into “subvertizing” and parody into illumination."

Knot Equivalence

The Miami University Art Museum has chosen my painting "Knot Equivalence" to be included in the upcoming juried 2017 Department of Art Faculty & Alumni Show.  This digital painting will be displayed as a 44" x 44" print on canvas.  This exhibition will be on view at the Miami Art Museum from August 29, 2016 - December 16, 2017.  It is an honor to be selected to participate.

Under Water

I am happy to announce that my "Under Water" painting is now complete.  This digital painting took close to 700 hours of work (Feb 2016-Dec 2016) and can be printed as a very large indoor/outdoor mural (more details soon).  This will be my last digital painting for a while as I return to the studio to work on large traditional hand paintings.

It's been a lot of fun creating T-shirt designs for charity!  Check out this publication about our "Pugzilla" design.

Jaime and I are very excited to be invited to participate in the group exhibition Infinitum – Create. Lead. Learn. Faculty Exhibition at the Hebei Provincial Museum in China in 2014-15.  The exhibition will then travel back to the Kent State University Museum in Kent, OH and will be on view during 2015-16.  We will be displaying our NYSE Project in it's entirety, an 18 piece installation.
